So the relocation process should begin with the sorting. You first take a good look on your possessions. Some items, in every household, will be of no value and needs to be discarded. They are easy. But there will also be some items which do have emotional importance and needs a second thought. Then you may have some articles which are still in working condition but you already have acquired better options. You can sell them off through a garage sale or sell them online. This way you will have some working cash in your hand as well. Donate your plants to your neighbors or a nursery. Similarly take care of other hazardous material or perishables that no movers will move. Pack and carry your valuables and documents. Sort out your possessions in every room before you start packing. This way you will have less to pack and incidentally less to pay!

What to Pack:

1. Crockery and Antiques

They need special care as they tend to break easily. You will need a lot of packing material, patience and expertise to complete the work. It is always better to hire professional to do this job. Experts usually advise to use wooden crates to safe guard these precious materials. Otherwise you can move them in hard cardboard boxes after laying them over a layer of cushioning. You should also look to minimize space and prevent collision with boxes or amongst them

2. Artefacts:

Little artefacts make the aesthetics of our living-rooms and bed rooms. They hold an emotional significance as well. They mostly consist of fragile components such as glass, china, porcelain and clay. These have to be cushioned with care. You can use soft clothes like silk, bubble wrap or thermocol. These include photos and paintings as well. These can be best packed on a bed of wrapped inside paper, cloth or bubble wrap with paper between the artefacts and in the corners to diminish space and minimize collisions.

3. Electronics:

These have fragile circuitry that has minute connections configured over Nano scales. They are not made for impact tolerance and even slightest of jerks can lead to loose connection, short circuit or misaligned configurations. The safest packing strategy will be to pack electronics in their own boxes using the thermacol and the bubble wraps that come with them.

4. Furniture:

All large furniture can prove to be a challenge because they are rigid, bulky and immobile. Modern day furniture like center tables, corner-pieces and air-sofas come with in-built wheels. You need to dismantle them carefully and pack the glass components with care inside mattresses, bed sheets and drapes. You can cover the mirrors with cloth or cardboard sheets either by tying them or taping them. You can also consider getting help for the dismantling and the re-assembling process.

You should ideally pack everything with vigil and allot time for them but practically, the time before a move is highly constrained and you need to priorities the expensive fragile things over the tough furniture that can withstand impact and rough handling. If you are hring professional Packers and Movers Goa movers than they must take and pack your goods properly, but still having packing knowledge can monitor the packing properly and safely also your packing will navigate in the safest way.
